Saturday
I went on a canoe trip. When we got ready Emily held the trunk. I carried stuff and put it in the trunk. Then I helped Emily hold the trunk, so Dad could put in the rest of the stuff. When we were all ready we left for the stream. Dad, Emily, Eleanor, Zach, and I went. We went fishing and I caught a fish all by myself! It was muddy and cold. It rained the whole way. Emily caught the biggest fish and the smallest fish. When we got home we ate the biggest fish Emily caught. It was yummy! That is the end of our canoe trip.

Beach Day in the cafeteria
Today I had a beach party in the cafeteria. It was really fun. We went to lunch early and there were a lot of people there. We got a lei when we went in the cafeteria. I had hot lunch. It was hot dogs and an ice cream sundae with a cherry on top, vanilla flavor. Everyone was dressed up. There was music playing and Mr. Clement juggled a little. Doris, Mrs. Z., Mrs. Littlefield, and 2 other people I didn't know played the steel drums. They turned the lights off, but it wasn't that dark. They had a tape on to go with the steel drums, too. Next was the prizes. Whoever had a red sticker on their tray got a prize. Not everyone got a sticker. I got a prize! It was glow sticks. They glow in the dark. There are five. They are yellow. Heather got purple glow sticks. I'll never forget this day! Instead of lining up for recess, we got to go right out. Instead of the front playground which we usually play on, we got to go on the back playground. It is bigger than the front playground! Then we went inside. And this is a true story.
The End.
The End.

My Monday
One morning on Memorial Day at 5:16am dad woke us up! We were going to help dad move his office. So we got dressed, brushed our teeth and brushed our hair. Emily and me got in the car and drove off. When we got to Dad's new office, we just took a look and Dad showed us around. His new office was upstairs and there was an office downstairs, too. It didn't have many colors and Dad's new office is really small. Then we went to Dad's old office, which wasn't that far away. Emily and I had to bring books up and down the stairs. Dad told us what to do. We had to go outside to put the books in the car. It took 2 hours...or 3! It was hard work. Dad pulled the middle seat down so we could put the books there. It looked really cool! Emily and I kept going up the stairs and down the stairs and I held the door for Emily. It was kind of fun, too. After all the books we took down, and Dad helped, we went back to Dad's old office. Then we had to carry the books up the stairs and down the stairs to bring the books into Dad's new office. That was a lot of work, too! And we had to get stuff out of the trunk. It took lots of work to do that work, too. Then we went back home. We saw Mom, Eleanor, Zach, and Kate. Eleanor, Emily, Dad, and I were going to go canoeing. It wasn't that long. When we got there, we got our life jackets on. I had to borrow Dad's life jacket and it was too big! I wish Mom and Kate could come along. We saw two red-winged blackbirds and there were three more boats-two canoes and one big boat. We went to see the waterfall. There was a big tree in the way that had fallen from the big storm. Dad showed us where it was from and how it floated down the river. When we got past the tree, Dad and me taught Emily how to paddle, so Emily sat in front where I was. Emily paddled most of the rest of the way. Then when we got back to the truck, we all put the stuff back that we took on the canoe trip. Then we went to Grammie's house. Mom, Kate, and Zach were already there. We watched "Go Diego Go" and had some doughnuts. Then Grampie and I ate watermelon together outside. We went inside for dinner. And then went back home and had Family Home Evening. Then we got ready for bed and went to bed.

My adventure with Morgan
I slept over at Morgan's house the past two days. She is my friend. It's Saturday...and school vacation. It's the last day of vacation except there's a Sunday off too. For two days of vacation, Morgan invited me over. I was only supposed to sleep over one day, but I didn't, I slept over two days! I didn't know until Morgan's Mom had a surprise. And she called my Mom...and my Mom said yes! Thursday night was softball for Ariel and her Mom. We had to go too. We played at the playground there, but it wasn't much fun because there wasn't much to do. There was fun stuff, there was one thing that we loved it was...a bouncy thing. I don't know it's name though. Morgan's Mom said "Come back in 20 minutes." And so we did and she said "I'm glad you came back because I forgot about you." Then Ariel said "You said come back in 20 minutes." Then Morgan's Mom said "Come back in another 20 minutes." But we were so bored we decided that we were going to pretend 20 minutes was up, but it wasn't. It was actually 10. So we went back to Morgan's Mom. And said "We're bored." And so we picked up the extra gloves and a softball and we threw it to each other. That was the one thing that was fun! We did it until we got bored of that. Then we went to the baseball field with the teenagers and we were supposed to be the runners, but we were too scared to be the runners. After the whole thing, we back to the house and had macaroni and cheese for dinner. Then we watched half of Mary Poppins. Then we went to bed after we got ready for it.
The next morning we got ready very early. I helped clean up Morgan's bedroom and her Mom said "Is this the same room?" She opened the closet and said "Whooshshshshsh" because she thought all the toys were in there and would fall out, but they weren't in there! And she said "If you pick up that towel it will be as clean as it can be." After we cleaned our teeth and brushed our hair. I helped Morgan do her hair. We went bike riding with Brittyn on the rode. You would think that is dangerous, but guess what? They have the whole road to themselves except for a neighbor. Isn't that great? I wish we had a rode to ourselves with our neighbor! Then it was time to go inside and have a snack before the children's museum. So we had a cookie and crackers. And we were full. Then we got into Morgan's Dad's truck because Morgan gets car sick if she goes a long way in her car. It was a lot of fun in the truck. When we got to the museum Logan was there. I know him from church. His family was there too. We were a little late. We went to the second floor and went to the climbing wall room, which I don't remember the name. And we stamped our passport. We went to a lot of other places on that floor, too. Me, Brittyn, Ariel, and Morgan went around in circles and went back to Morgan's Mom and said "Can we go to the bottom floor now, we went everywhere." But she said "Let's go to a couple more places." And so the next stop was the puppet theater and the lighthouse because the lighthouse is with the puppet theater. We made a puppet show. Morgan's Mom took a picture. Next, we went to the boat right beside it. We didn't do anything, we just went in it. Nathan was riding the bus and he went to New York on the screen. I wish I could go to New York. Next we did kareoke. Next of all we went to have lunch. Because we were starving! There was a wish penny thing where you make a wish. We didn't actually know that until we looked at the sign. We didn't have to follow that rule though, we just watched the penny. When the penny was through the tiny part it looked like a fan blowing very, very, very fast. After that I had to go to the bathroom, so I went. Then we did kareoke again. Then we went to the bottom floor, which I had been dying to go to. Did you know I am afraid of heights? Well I am. That's why I never go to the top of the Raven's nest. But guess what? Morgan helped me go up and I made it up to the egg you go inside! It was up to the second floor, that's how high it is. Now I'm not afraid of heights anymore. Then we went to the top of the owl house. That wasn't that high, I knew how to go up there when I was younger, too. Next I played with the boats in the water. Then the gift shop. I got a rock with a whale on it. The background was reddish/blackish. And it came with a free card which has a lot of animals and other things that tells what it stands for. I don't know what I am. Then we did kareoke AGAIN and sang YMCA! That was my favorite song we sang. Then we went to the drawing paper and I made something that looked like a tornado. Then it was time to go, but before Morgan's Dad and Logan sang Don't worry Be happy, but they didn't look happy, so we laughed. Then they came out and I came home. And that was my day.

Robert Pottle Day
An author came to our school last Friday! His name was...Robert Pottle. We called it Robert Pottle day. "Our turn" said Mrs. Frecker. We went to the art room, he was there. He had a film projector on. It was called I'm Allergic to school! That is a day I will never forget. It was a funny day! After we went back to our classroom, we had to write some poems like him. I wrote a poem about our new baby. The end.

The skirt who fit on a girl.
My favorite thing in the whole world is stories. I like to read them and write them. I like to write stories and sometimes poems. I usually write them for homework! My teacher said...I write really good stories and no one else writes like me! My latest story is about a skirt, but I can't find it to put it on the computer, so I'm going to write a different story...except I might be able to remember the words because I wrote it.
The skirt who fit on a girl.
Pick me, pick me! I am dressy and fancy and have no dirt you can see. I have no worms, no coats, or fleas on me. I want the world's greatest girl you can see. Look that's her the one who wants me! I think she's asking Sir Top how much I'm worth. I think he's saying one, two dollars will do. She skipped over to our rack, and guess what she picked the one beside me! And it fit. So she took it home. There's always next time. The end.
